The “Mendiant”: little delightful chocolates to taste
Our “Mendiants” are available at ROY chocolatier; with almonds and dried raisins, they will remind you a little of the thirteen traditional Provençal Christmas desserts. These thirteen desserts consist, among other things, of four “Mendiants” (beggars): walnuts or hazelnuts, dried figs, almonds and dried raisins.
However by tradition, ROY chocolatier had to add a small circle of chocolate under the dried fruits to make its “Mendiants”, more delectable.
